ABOUT THE DESIGNER: Formerly of Joan & David shoes and then with Allen Schwartz at ABS as an accessories buyer and celebrity stylist, Cynthia Howley was at the pinnacle of success, but began a downward spiral in the world of painkillers brought on by painful bouts of migraines. The glittery L.A. party life in the 90's, while bringing fame and fortune, also contributed to her addictions. But the intervention and love of family and friends prevailed and after a year of rehab, she emerged a stronger woman. Channeling her personal strength and creative energy, she began Cynthia H Designs. Celebrating her 10th year sober, Holvey created the affirmacuff message bracelets inspired by phrases that she learned and used in her spiritual awakening.
